Bolivian Food
Bill keeps asking if we have eaten "Bolivian" Food, well here it is. It is basically very hearty food. Rice, potatoes, and always an egg. When you go to a restaurant you order a "meal". There are no menus, you get whatever they have prepared for the day. It always includes a hearty soup, this one tasted like chicken noodle but it had chunks of beef and a rice in it. Then you get a meal. This one had rice on bottom, a hot dog, a potato, a fried egg on top and then on the side is always a tomato and red onion type side dish. They serve a ton of food. We ordered two meals and it could have served 5 of us. The size of the soup bowls are like the size of my serving bowl at home. To me the food is a little bland. In fact, you typically can not even get pepper. They do not have it. This is a very traditional meal. The rice, potato, egg and then some kind of meat. You also get a drink. Usually in these silver cups and is usually a type of tea. This one tasted like black lickerish. I have tried this traditional food now 3 times and it is always about like this. Wyatt likes it more than Jordan, but we will probably not be having too much more of it. But since we have been here we have eaten our weight in their bread. By far the best bread I have every eaten. I fear what all the this bread is going to do to my waist line. Oh, and this whole meal, 7b's which is $1. You at least get a lot of food for you money.
