La Junga

In Villa Tunara, about 3 hours from Cochabama, is this place called La Junga, a "bolivian" style "amusement " park. It is deep in the Rainforest and VERY handmade. You climb up these very unstable ladders and cross shakey bridges, only to then be tied onto a swing or zipline and go flying through the jungle. We had a great time literally SWINGING through the rainforest and then ending up in the river to cool off. It was another AMAZING adventure.

This was the entry to our "park". Little did we know that this would be the BEST built structure here. You go in, after paying your 180B's (about $13), and a guide takes you to your first climb.

Jordan going up. She wanted her doll to go with her on this adventure, so up the doll went too.

Mom INCHING her way across the first bridge. But she did it (on her butt)!

Way to go mom. Can not believe she did this. So proud of her.

Wyatt getting ready to go down the zipline. I was so proud of the kids. They did not hesitate for one second before "jumping" off. In fact, they were first in line.

Wyatt on the 36ft. swing.

Dad Hanging on for dear life!

Me on the 36ft. swing. This was the scariest part. The guy is actually pushing you from behind to get the swing under you. There is no harness, just a rope you would tie a trap down with, that you put under your arms to serve as a safety rope. The swing is just a board that you sit on.

Jordan swinging from the 48ft. jump. It was so high!!!

Jordan again on 48ft.

Wyatt would have done this over and over again.

Dad getting ready to do the big 48ft. plunge. He was not happy about it but he did it, once.

Crossing the stream on the way to the river.

Still going to the river.

The kids and I enjoying the river after the muggy rainforest.
