Well there is not doubt in my mind that Machu Picchu deserves its place on the 7 New Wonders of the World.
I am running out of adjetives to describe the experience we are having. But if you can ever make it to South America, Peru and Machu Picchu is a must.
Again, I am sitting in the cafe while my family eats breakfast at 6:30 am and we leave for a three-hour bus ride back into the valley for more Inca masterpieces. We will visit ruins (the Sacred Valley) and stop at villages to see how they turn the alpaca fur into "wool". So again, time is short.
We got off the train last night at 9 and I spent my internet time (20 min) talking to my husband. Sorry, bloggers, we had not talked to him since we left. Then it was off to bed. We are exhausted! Again many promises to post pictures and tell all the amazing stuff we have seen. One point: our tour guide yesterday for MP was a true historian and has written 5 books on MP and the Incas. We bought his book and he signed it to the kids. Not only that but he was an amazing story teller. The kids hung on his every word.
Thanks to everyone posting comments! It is so great, I love hearing from ya'll.
